On 12-80 there was a burglary committed on Los Amigos Drive, Rancho Cordova the offender broke the glass to the rear living room window and the offender was cut. There was blood left behind. This street is important in the Rancho Cluster attack #6 who as we remember there was a suspected 1973 burglary of the same family on a different street. This is a JJD hard target in my opinion unfortunately the victim was targeted when she was younger and JJD located the family after they moved to a different house. There was nothing taken according to victims and yet no mentioned this is what many EAR crimes look like. A small concentrated area where multiple homes are burglarized and little to nothing taken. The window technique JJD is famous for is the breaking a small hole near the release lock and then unlatch it but sometimes this technique breaks the glass in an unpredictable way and many offenders are cut while breaking in.
Murderinc has the Grapevine Newspaper section I believe.
This was a busy week according to newspaper for burglaries..
This in my opinion is JJD returning to his roots and his two of his favorite things a particular victim and the Rancho neighborhood.

There is something that kept pulling Joe back, back to his neighborhood maybe to a time he enjoyed the most. Maybe back when he had just started invading victim's homes as he raised up from diverted puberty to full-blown criminal.

It's like the Sacramento Sherriff's Department would have been on guard for EAR'S return since he did somewhere around 31th or 32nd attack. They forgot about him after only 3 years at the most. He was back in 1980 I see that now.

I must say I have heard more than a few stories when the public would call in only to be told things like "If the prowler is gone then there is nothing they could do" with that near exact sentence uttered to way too high of a number. The facts in a neighborhood that was targeted by JJD regarding prowling and stalking and even sometimes burglaries (where nothing was taken) were only discovered when a neighborhood canvas was conducted after the sexual assault had occurred. JJD just seemed to always catch a break and it just kept happening over and over until the day he murdered and the one Coroner who always takes double samples had a completely fresh sample never used to submit the sample that did him him.

I wrote about a crime series in the Oranvegale area between 1980-1986 also on another thread not sure if it is on this board or not? I think the Rancho connection was also JJD.

Law Enforcement is more worried about embarrassment or looking bad in some way than they are about solving crimes. It also seems they figure JJD is in for life but the victims deserve more. I agree not every crime committed in the 1970s and 1980's is JJD but they need to continue on to see if he did more. I think JJD did more than we know.

I agree not every crime committed in the 1970s and 1980's is JJD No one ever said they were. It's a strawman argument used to try and discredit Murder Inc. And even if JJD was responsible for every crime featured on Murder Inc. (which he's obviously not), they still represent a tiny fraction of all crime in CA during those years.

LE does still have a duty to look at each and every unsolved that is owed to the victims and their families.

I bet JJD is responsible for more than what we know. Most likely for crimes that are not even EAR/ONS type but other crimes.

So this blood evidence was never tested with pre-DNA forensics (blood type, PGM type)? It was probably too expensive to do for a burglary (and the fact that they didn't think - or want to think - about it being EAR.)
