In Shingle Springs there is a Miwok nation tribe that has been living on the land for many many years. The area is probably better known as the Redhawk Casino area of today. But back in the 1970s, there was no casino and but there were homes for the people of the shingle Springs Miwok nation to live in. Shingle Springs is near Placerville during the time JJD lived in Auburn is the timeframe in which the attack and reported suspicious person complaints came into the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department. There was a series of EAR-like behaviors that occurred in and around the land of the reservation.
