He told me about the stakeouts that they did time and time again and how they never caught anyone. He particularly recalls the stakeouts because he said they were freezing their asses off out there! The thick layer of fog makes it 100% humidity and the temps that week were about 40 degrees. The humidity REALLY made them feel the cold because they had to remain still during the stakeouts.

Rocklin 9/82 Description doesn't sound like JJD - would have needed to be wearing a disguise.

Thanks for this jenn! I notice that ‘happy Christmas’ that was painted on the sofa is the same unusual phrasing used in the letter to Melvin Belli that murderinc has in her page about the ‘Atherton terrorist’. And the message from the burglar was ‘Happy Christmas from the both of us’, who is included in ‘the both’? Deangelo and his best friend ‘The Zodiac’?

His ‘best man’? Some kid he met along the bike paths? An imagined alter ego?...

JJD’s’ ‘best man’ went to ‘nam first — in ‘63.

Law enforcement doesn't care about the burglaries because the statute of limitations is past. They only have an interest in cases if they can prosecute. However, they DO have an obligation to check the list of stolen property from the Rocklin burglaries against the list of recovered property from jjd's house and return anything to the victims and their families. They are supposedly doing that but, we'll see whether or not that actually occurs.
