The East Area rapist lived on El Segundo Drive, he lived along side his victims. He was invisible to them because he was just an average looking kid and no one suspected him of being a serial rapist. He lived with his Mother and brother sometime during the first 10 attacks his family moved to Carmichael; his mother was worried able the rapes that were happening so close to the family home.
EAR grew up in Rancho but spent quite a bit of the time on his bicycle on the bike trail that ran along the American River and that trail introduced him to the Carmichael side of the river. Carmichael is directly across the river from Rancho and accessible by bicycle. The Carmichael side had a levee that ran behind the homes and allowed him to peer into the homes very easily. It also gave him a second hunting ground that he could throw off the Police; this was after he decided him was not able to stop himself from continuing to rape and cause terror in his victims.
