Baker was a Sac PD Officer and convicted of sexual assaulting a 75-year-old stroke victim in her senior living apartment raping at least three times from 2010 to 2012, raping her twice as she suffered from a stroke-related inability to speak. Baker is a total waste of human flesh to say the least.
I personally knew the family and interaction occurred between both of our families related to soccer and kids attending same schools. Baker's kids and wife could not have been nicer people and this is another case of Officer Baker not mixing up Baker the rapist personalities much like the complete compartmentalizing JJD was able to pull off on his own family.
My interaction with Baker was friendly but not close at all. Baker blended into the background and did not draw attention to himself very quiet spoken and almost timid in social situations.

Very familiar with this case via the press. It did not make sense to me a bit? Low key cop attacking a lone elderly Asian victims and then claiming consent when the evidence was overwhelmingly against him. Not the only SPD Officer who raped and not the last! Baker begs more questions than answers? There were a couple of sex scandals that I am aware of and SPD did a good job of covering up. But Baker is or was an opportunist attacker with a suspected fetish for a certain type of victim. The scary and disturbing aspect of sex offending in law enforcement parallels that in the military. Child pornography, child molesters, date rape are now the most common.
But again, Baker did not hide behind his position of authority or operate like JJD but there was a disturbing commonality in that both could function in a highly demanding job and high level skill set without detection. Including from an intact family life. Hard to place this type of offender on a level near the EAR/ONS but can be just as dangerous.

Things that bother me about the Baker case is the claims by his own LE agency as this being his only crime. Baker is a rapist and I am not buying into the argument (LE) this was his first sexual assault. Baker's background needs to be investigated more. |

No the Deputy blames porn and a sleep aid that made her do it! So it's not her fault she is a child molester. |

The Baker case makes me think he has to have more victims over the years and there is no way this was his first sexual assault. Baker was another LE officer who was a great blender much like JJD he was more or less wallpaper in every room he entered. Baker did his job somewhere in the middle of the pack and in social settings the same thing he was there but no one noticed him.
Baker's victim was elderly but that does not mean other victims were also older but with the victim being of Asian descent that might be a clue to more of his victims.
