One other thing that I want to post about quickly is Janet did state they would have sex and then minutes later JJD would want to do the act once more. She complained of being sore from repeated acts over and over. That's the exact same thing JJD's ex-fiancee Bonnie relayed to the interviewer on the "Man In The Window" podcast about the repeated sex. She said he said he had trained himself to control his orgasm or something like that. You can hear this in episode "Bonnie and Joe", starting about 15 minutes in (the surrogate family's "Judy" is also in this episode and tells about the prowler outside her bedroom window she now suspects was Deangelo): podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/man-in-the-window-the-golden-state-killer/id1465334342?i=1000442655513That's actually creepy to me and I suppose if Janet had not known this it makes sense. Although that behavior cold also be a common thing teen boys do I really don't know I have not asked anyone on that topic.

As you already know, but just to state it: Janet's and Bonnie's involvement with JJD were about ten years apart - he was 24 or 25 when he met Bonnie (he wasn't a teenager.) Also in the podcast episode, starting around 12:20, when it seems like JJD is about 18 (before he leaves for the Navy, I think), he proposes to a best friend of surrogate sister "Judy", but she turns him down. Have you heard anything about this girlfriend?

JJD seemed to have a need beyond what was even normal back then to be married may be an attempt to set the stage for his separate lives.

JJD seemed to have a need beyond what was even normal back then to be married may be an attempt to set the stage for his separate lives. Interesting on the separate bedrooms, the idea she'd be relieved to have him in another room at night. That she was apparently a very determined student helped her accept the "separate lives" arrangement (he did a ton of activities on his own, remember.) And he, as a police officer on a tiny force, had carte blanche to leave for "work" at any hour. A question I've had. Do we know for sure the couple had separate bedrooms in Exeter? We know Auburn PD Chief Willick was shown the separate bedroom setup in Auburn - has any Tulare associate spoken on this? You never know what small details might bolster some as yet unprosecuted crime he's committed - as the quirks we've heard from two women earlier in this thread. The front button-pants thing, we have two women claiming the same quirk from him 12-14 years apart. It bolsters the Tulare victim's (Ms. Silva's) story. Also, remember he was on duty, in uniform, and driving a police vehicle according to her - can those outrageous crimes, if true, be swept under the rug forever?

I was told a story by Janet that did not seem important until after I did the interview with Dan a fellow cop who worked with JJD. Janet told a story about a conversation she and JJD had once or twice about death and dying. Janet recalled JJD was mostly happy-go-lucky Joe when he wanted sex from her but there was a time they were talking about death and dying and how Joe became very serious and talked in almost a whisper he was "normally a loud talker" Janet said but this time he was soft-spoken. He seemed to fear death and stated the different ways a person could die and how he didn't like them but without ever saying how he would prefer to die. Janet said he got weird talking about death and he sure seemed like it scared him which she thought was odd since he took a lot of chances in his life and seemed confident in his public persona as fearless. That encounter about death and dying was not something a teenager or a young adult talked about in Janet's opinion and she added we never worrried about dying it was the furthest thing from everyone's mind and it was weird that Joe talked about it even though it was in private conversation with her.
I didn't even give this short quick conversation with Janet any mind until I talked with Dan and got something similar from him. They both thought JJD acted so weird on this topic. Maybe because they had no idea Joe was either already climbing in windows of strangers in Dan's case or he was planning to do it in Janet's case. I do believe Joe was peeping and wanking in and around victims' homes when he was in the strange secret relationship he had with Janet.
