First thing first the Officer does not want his name used. So you and I have to take what he says as truth if you don't then don't read it.
I know his name and verified he was a cop at the same location as JJD in the correct time other than that nothing else can be verified because Joe is not gonna talk to me for sure to set the record straight. First question why did this cop we will call DAN talked to me he said because it would make him feel better and I'm not a reporter and I was a cop as well.
Dan worked with JJD and he told me he felt such betrayal when it was discovered who the East Area Rapist because they worked together for years not particularly close but work buddies is how he described the relationship. Dan said his stomach dropped when he learned of JJD's arrest and he hoped it was someone with the same name. But it was not and it made him physically sick to his stomach. He wanted to share a few of his stories about Joe as he called him.
Dan said one day they were sitting around at work waiting for their shift to start when he and Joe engaged in a conversation about getting older. Dan said JJM's attitude toward getting older seemed like a serious topic and his face showed it so much so Dan still remembered his reaction. Joe did not want to get older and stated he will fight it until the end. He said Joe said he feared he was losing strength and speed that he once had from getting older and it seemed to scare him judging by how low his voice became while saying it. Dam said Joe seemed to fear death as well as they talked back and further and said he wanted to live forever. Dan said JJD's voice lowered to almost a whisper when he talked about getting old and even death as if someone or something might hear him talking about the topic. It was weird and Dan thought it was but he didn't think Joe noticed.
That was one more to come. Dan is a good guy and he feels like he was fooled by JJD and it makes him very angry to this day. I don't blame him nor do I think he is alone in this feeling.
