Nick! You probably know who I am. Do I know you from 76 to 85? I was AJ at Sac City, CRJ at Sac State, DA’s Office 77 to 1980. Cal Expo Police(part-time) 77 to 84, and EARS 76-77, DOJ/BOI 93/98 and other places? I was also heavily involved with the Western Society of Criminology and the Old Guard at John Jay, I knew a couple of “Nicks.” We need to increase the debris field for JJD from 1962 to 1964 between his 16th and 18th birthday? Doug, You are right on the money with that post!!! Any patterns of pet mutilations or killings during that period? He doesn’t seem to be associated with starting fires but if you believe he fits in with that kind of psychological profile, as a teen he could still be exploring the sort of things that turned him on and fire might be one activity . Were there any unusual clusters of fires or cases of arson in the area during that time?

Hi, Nick. Jenn told me about this place. Thank you for your support and long time contributions, Goldrusher!!! The dictatorship on the old board is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE to me and the banning of several members by "Dickmond" sent me over the edge. That's why I REFUSE to post there. Thanks, Jenn. I appreciate that very much.

Nick, those people at the EAR/Proboards site are SAVAGES. They should've never banned you. I always really liked your posts and looked forward to seeing your posts. Glad to have found you and read your insights into EAR. Not to change the focus, but I thought this thread was like AA where you say, "My name is XXX, and I was banned from Proboards" and then you give your story. Specifically, it was a cheesy little coterie of about five or six trolls who hijacked meaningful discussion with ad hominem attacks and passive-aggressive gameplaying--they would quite literally go cry to "richmond" whenever anyone fought back against their hostility. "richmond" simply handed over the keys to the castle to these disgusting, unimpressive little malcontents.
What happened to nick in late May is inexcusable, and what happened at PB in early June was no little run-of-the-mill tiff: that was a severe fracturing, and the question everyone should ask themselves: "when a vase breaks, is it more logical to piece it back together piece by piece, or is it more logical to craft/buy a brand new 'un?" If PB was a vase, then the aforementioned characters in my first paragraph are the ones who literally chucked it as hard as they could against the wall to break it.
Heh! @rgnnnbld: I thought the exact same thing you did at first (your last sentence).

For some reason (I'm still uncertain why) they tend to ban the most productive posters. The posters with the real info. It's not all just the "new" moderator. God Bless Drifter for creating the place, but even pre arrest, he would throw down the ban hammer on someone with interesting and potentially useful information who either 1. Disagreed with his theories or 2. Forgot to say "In my opinion". Yeah man, total dictatorship over there. "Fall in line, or you're OUT". Can someone invite steelbike and MF to this site? I don't actually know them as people but they always have relevant insights/posts and I'm pretty sure they like Black Sabbath. Reporting for duty, Sir.

Went to Classmates.com to check out the classes of 66 to 68 and besides looking for people of noteworthy local fame, so impressed with the legendary attractive young women of Rancho Cordova. An unincorporated town back with a sparkling campus and such an “All American”’ ambiance to the whole community.
The current town resembles nothing like 50 years ago.
More like a Valley town with its own drive in, bowling alleys and the assorted Tasty Freeze, burger shops and one of the first McDonald’s located right here. The Space Program brought good times and well paying jobs from Aerojet and its Booster Rocket Program. Rancho was much smaller then and the monumental event was not the massive layoff at Aerojet, but the building of Freeway U.S. 50 that brought heartache to Cordova.
Anybody traveling west over the Sierras had to travel along Folsom Boulevard and this was also a major factor to the economy of the area. The Air Force at Mather was without a doubt a major factor in the strength of the community but Rancho was going down long before the base closed in 1996. No doubt the East Area Rapist spree had its effect on the emotional soul of the community but a multitude of factors began to afflict the social core. These factors were for the most part changes in the country in general but certain local events shook the community.
In 1973 three local boys took an entire Bank of California staff and customers hostage for 9 hours in an event that brought attention to sophisticated crimes by juveniles. The Cordova Cat Burglar series even though not well known had the neighbors talking. In particular the kids who frequented the well known spots in the area.
A Hot Prowl Cat Burglar who sneaks into females bedrooms and peers into their windows. Parents claimed their kids...especially the girls were having bad dreams. We are familiar via the information gathered or documented by Sheriffs Detective Ken Clark and he was absolutely correct.
From 76 to 79 life went on for many. But the community that experienced the perfect American middle class Camelot was gone. JJD the perfect embodiment of the “Boogeymen” had left his mark and change for the worse was evident. In the early 1980’s a massive effort was underway to build a “Silicon Valley North” with Corporate Campuses dotting the area. With the beautiful Sierra Foothills just a half hour north, the area was geared to attract the best in High Tech to the area. Apple, Intel, Hewlett-Packard. NEC and the rest never came and Call Centers became the prime users of the Corporate Campus areas. Yes there is some very active businesses now but not the Research and Development envisioned 30 plus years ago.
In 1976 innocence brought vulnerability and shattered peace. It seemed JJD loved to shatter women, couples, families and the relative tranquility of any given neighborhood. Cordova had the perfect hunting ground of attractive wholesome people to forever change with the cruelest of offensives against the soul of his victims.
The mystery of why such a person would be so hateful and cunning will remain a mystery for most of us because perhaps certain things should be left alone and allow judgment to prevail.

Dougguard "Parents claimed their kids...especially the girls were having bad dreams." The same exact thing happened in the string of Rocklin burglaries. I interviewed one of the victims and she told me how she kept telling her parents that she heard noises outside and that someone was watching her. 43 years later I told her she wasn't imagining it. This victim was lucky. Nothing else happened to her other than the fact that her home was burglarized.
