There was pre-EAR activity in Rancho Cordova a few years before the EAR series started that is believed by LE to have been JJD. The activity included an intruder entering homes late at night while the occupants slept and were reported to have stood over them while they slept with some awaking. The intruder also would search the house looking at things inside of the home while the occupants slept and even taking strange items.
The Rancho Cat series was occurring at or around the same time period as all of the VR crimes were happening in Visilia. It is not impossible to drive back and forth from one place to the other but it seems very difficult if JJD was also working as an Exeter PD officer at the same time.
