"Mr. Avocado and the Paul Holes calendars" Goldrusher, what is that to which you are referring? Ah, that goes back to the old board.

I posted this on the 'other' board. It fits with the recent discussion regarding the possibility of an accomplice. At the time of Deangelo's arrest Paul Holes said they initially did not think he was the guy simply because he didn't think it possible that he could have been the EAR while serving as a full-time cop in Auburn and even though 'investigators always believed the East Area Rapist could have been a police officer because he had evaded authorities for so long'. I'm with Holes. I'm still with Holes on that one. www.sacbee.com/news/local/crime/article210003114.htmlIn one interview, Auburn Chief Willick said that JJD would have been a relief officer for his first two years - so he'd be working various shifts. In another interview he said JJD might have had four days on and three days off sometimes.

I am certain the position JJD held at Auburn PD aided him in so many different ways while committing the EAR series. JJD had different days off and with a changing schedule, his family and friends most likely thought he was a work anytime they did not see him around. The amount of time he committed to prowling and stalking alone would be tough for anyone not working a rotating schedule to explain. If he was the relief guy like I have heard it makes the most sense.

Comparing his Auburn PD attendance records/schedule to the dates of the crimes and other prowling incidents would probably clear a lot of things up.

I believe this victim was very important to JJD and the clothesline alarm system he used was a direct attempt to lead LE to a possible Zodiac evolution. The jewelry placed in the strange neighbor kid's house was probably a backup or plan B to frame or misdirect LE. JJD was, of course, the master of redirection. JJD might have been closer to this victim than the others and felt he needed to do those things to avoid capture because there was a clear connection to her and him. What that connection is would be nice to know.
JJD had to have been worried the Rancho Cat series would be connected to the EAR crime series and he had to take a course of action to avoid it. The Sheriff's ADEPT team should have been included in the investigation from the start they had been after JJD first and had some very real leads. The most important was what is known as the Sarda Way incident JJD was seen in the daylight without a mask. Patricia even did a composite drawing that was later updated and used at the FBI press conference prior to JJD's capture. ADEPT knew what they had an evolving sexual predator.

There might be some gems in those police reports, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's nothing concrete. He might have wanted to keep his crime sprees separate. But given his alleged behavior from some Tulare witnesses during his Exeter PD tenure, I wouldn't be surprised if there are other serious Placer County crimes during that period that involved victim hunting he did while on Auburn patrol. I would consider framing of suspects as a serious crime - it's something he could do while on the Auburn PD clock.

Holes is a ham-brained idiot.
A case of shameless self promoting due to the huge media attention???

I appreciate that the man can speak so well. I mean, look on the brightside....somebody HAS to be a face to this GSK stuff in the media, at least it's not somebody like Wendy Williams.......or Anne Marie Schubert.

This early stalking to me shows how far in advance JJD planned or it shows how obsessed he was with victim #6 or a suppose it could be both. There were victims JJD seemed to spend more time preparing for an attack but I think he became attracted to the family itself, not just the victim. There were the pre-attack burglaries and in this case years of stalking he must have felt something for the family.
